Successful completion of webinar “Indigenous Languages in a Globalizing World: Preservation & Revitalization”

Green University Language Center has organized a 10 day long virtual Mother Language Fest 2022 with much enthusiasm. Today (24 February 2022) on the 3rd day of the fest, Language Center had arranged a scholarly webinar entitled “Indigenous Languages in a Globalising World: Preservation & Revitalization ”.Two of our respected Keynote Speakers were  Prof. Dr. Mônica Heinzelmann Portella de Aguiar from Brazil and Prof. Dr. Apurba Saha from West Bengal, India. The webinar was graced by excellent presentation sessions by both the scholars from different borders of the world. Studies about indigenous people, their history, culture and evolution of their language were aced by Prof. Dr. Mônica Heinzelmann. Different endangered languages from Indigenous communities, how to preserve the languages, what are the reasons for any ancient language’s death; these topics were vividly reflected in Prof. Dr. Apurba Saha’s discussion.
 
Prof. K M Wazed Kabir, respected chairperson from the department of English was the chief guest of the webinar. Ms. Serajum Munira, respected director of Language Center delivered the Vote of Thanks.
