Successful Completion of the Seminar on The Importance of Learning and Understanding the History of Emergence of Bangladesh in Higher Education_ arranged by CLCS GED Unit

We are glad to inform you that the seminar on The Importance of Learning and Understanding the History of Emergence of Bangladesh in Higher Education was successfully arranged on 14 June 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in A 502. It was a warm, enriching, and inspiring event for the students of GUB.

In this seminar, The keynote speaker was Prof. Dr. Abu Khaled Mohammad Khademul Haque, a renowned Professor, at the Department of Islamic History and Culture, University of Dhaka. The honorable Dean of the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences  Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab attended the seminar as our Chief Guest. The honorable Chairperson of the Department of English, Director of IQAC,  Prof. Dr. M. Shahidullah was present at the seminar as our Special Guest.The program was hosted by Ms. Sumaiya Afreen, Lecturer and Assistant Program Coordinator, at the Department of English and Center for Language and Cultural Studies. Dr. Serajum Munira, Associate Professor, at the Department of English and Director of the Center for Language and Cultural Studies, graced the event with her contemporarily much-valued welcome speech. After that, Prof. Dr. M. Shahidullah shared his enriched thoughts for promoting General Education Courses based on the concept of the seminar. Prof. Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab enchanted the room full of an audience with her thought-provoking and strong speech about the importance of knowing the history of our motherland and encouraged the students to know the value of humanity. At the end of the session, an engaging Question-Answer Session between the students and the hon’ble Keynote Speaker took place and made the event worthy to be our day!
